"One of the most efficient ways to challenge the effects of the foreign cultures is to develop the native rituals of a nation and fortunately the sublime Iranian culture possesses a great wealth of rituals, which should be studied throughout."
IRAN THEATER – The deputy of Tehran in the Islamic Congress, Bijan Nobave, in a talk with the headquarters of the 14th International Ritual-Traditional Theater Festival, said: "Holding such festivals can be a protection against invasion of the foreign cultures, therefore festivals belonged to this trend should be watched over."
Mentioning that the Iranian rituals should came under the academic observation, the member of the cultural commission of the congress added: "through an academic attitude towards the traditional and folkloric customs, we can guarantee a shiny perspective for the culture and art of Iran."
"Economically, investing money in the cultural fields has never been profitable for the governments. However, it can decrease the social conflicts. The 14th International Ritual-Traditional Theater Festival will take place from Jul 30 to Aug 7 in Tehran.
